1. What curriculum does VISS follow?
VISS follows the Victorian Curriculum offered in Victoria State in Australia and offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the Global Citizen Diploma (American High School Diploma) in the senior years.

3. What are the age requirements for new admission?
Admission is based on the student’s age as of 31st August. Please refer to our (Enrollment Process) for a detailed age chart for each grade level.
4. How can I apply for admission?
Online applications can be submitted via our Online Application. You will be required to upload relevant documents (Please use a laptop or desktop to fill the form)
5. Is there an entrance assessment?
Yes, students applying from Foundation to Grade 11 undergo an academic assessment and interview to ensure proper grade placement and support.
6. Are classes at VISS mixed-gender or separated for boys and girls?
All classes at Victoria International School Sharjah are mixed-gender from Pre-K to Grade 12, supporting a collaborative and inclusive learning environment for all students.

2. How can I pay the school fees?

3. Are there penalties for late payments?
Yes. An administration fee of AED 250 will be charged on any returned cheque. For more information, refer to the (Financial Information)

Academic and School Life
1. What languages are taught at VISS?
The main language of instruction is English. Arabic is taught as a core subject, with French offered as a second language in senior secondary school.
2. What is the school’s approach to special education?
VISS provides responsible inclusive education and individualized support plans for Students of Determination (SoD) of mild and moderate needs, including behaviour support and learning accommodations.
3. What co-curricular activities are offered?
We offer a range of free activities, including sports, music, robotics, cooking, drama, swimming squads, and academic clubs, throughout the school week to develop well-rounded learners.
4. Do you offer Arabic and Islamic studies?
We offer Ministry Subjects (Arabic, Islamic, Social Studies, and Moral Education) for private schools, from Grade 1 up to Grade 12 for Arabic and Non- non-Arabic speakers.
Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA)
1. What are ECAs at VISS?
ECAs (Extra-Curricular Activities) are enrichment programs that students can participate in beyond the academic timetable. These include Swimming, football, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, music, and more. for more information, please refer to (ECA Page)
2. Are ECAs mandatory?
While not compulsory, ECAs are highly encouraged as they play a vital role in student development, social engagement, and building new skills.
3. When do ECAs take place?
ECAs usually run after school hours during weekdays & weekends.
4. How do students register for ECAs?
Parents are invited to sign up for sessions at the beginning of every term, and they can always reach out to the External providers for more information. (ECA Page)
5. Are ECAs included in the school fees?
ECAs are led by External Providers.
6. What are the school hours?
Regular school hours are from 7:45 AM to 3:10 PM, Monday to Thursday. Please refer to the School Calendar for variations and term dates.
7. Is transportation provided?
Yes, VISS offers safe and reliable transportation across Sharjah, Dubai, and Ajman. For more information, please refer to (Transportation).
8. How do parents stay informed about their child’s progress?
Through regular parent-teacher conferences, access to our learning platform (SEQTA), and school communication channels, including newsletters and the VISS social media.

1. Is the school accredited?
Yes, VISS is licensed by the Ministry of Education in UAE and the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA).
The Senior School is accredited by the IB Board to deliver the IB Diploma, and the Global Citizen Diploma is accredited by (COGNIA).
